A motor control center (MCC) is an assembly of one or more enclosed sections having a common power bus and principally containing motor control units. Motor control centers are in modern practice a factory assembly of several motor starters. A motor control center can include variable frequency drives, programmable controllers, and metering and may also be the electrical service entrance for the building. A motor control center consists of one or more vertical metal cabinet sections with power bus and provision for plug-in mounting of individual motor controllers. Each motor controller contains a contactor or a solid-state motor controller, overload relays to protect the motor, fuses or a circuit breaker to provide short-circuit protection, and a disconnecting switch to isolate the motor circuit.
Power Control Centre is used for distribution and control of various power source used in industrial & commercial units. The power supplied to heavy machineries, equipments, motors and transformers are controlled as per the requirement of electrical loads using PCC panels.
APFC or Automatic Power Factor Control Panels are mainly used for the improvement of Power Factor. It has a microcontroller based programmable controller which switches the capacitor banks of suitable capacity automatically in multiple stages by directly reading the reactive load (RKVA) which works in the principle of VAR sensing tends to maintain the PF to 0.99 Lag. The capacitor banks may be selected in number of stages according to the load pattern. The power factor can be maintained by installing Automatic Power Factor Control Panel (APFC Panel)
Metering Panels are widely used for domestic as well as industrial purposes and designed with careful wiring and are excellent in appearance.
Auto mains failure (AMF) Panels is meant for controlling DG START / STOP sequence in accordance to the availability of utility power supply. It has a relay sensor that detects power failure & shift the load to a generator. If power being resumed same relay sensor detects is & shift the load back to the supply. AMF control system provides continuous flow of power supply to the load in case of power failure & fluctuation
Synchronizing Panel works between two or more different power sources like DG sets to manage power supply. It is used where the power is cut off or failure. DG synchronization panel is required to paralleling of 2 or more DG's it may be as per the load dependent .one DG will be ON as per the master and other will sync with the frequency ,voltage etc matches with master DG, this is required to share the load.
PLC Panels are ruggedized with hardware and software specifically designed to perform industrial control operations.
A PLC consists of two basic sections:
These Panels are designed to control the speed of electric motor and feed pump. They are widely used in drilling, pumping and other large machine applications.
Features:
They are designed to match variable speed requirements of a process unit and so are vigorously tested on various speed parameters.
The feeder pillar is a cabinet for electrical equipment, mounted in the street to terminate and distribute the control circuits. These are used in almost all the industries, townships and housing societies to put all the cut-outs together.
